History

Origin of the Posters:

The various posters presented on this site were made by the printing company Graphisud in Narbonne.

Graphisud was founded in 1866 under the trade name "Imprimerie Narbonnaise et du Courrier" and remained under the management of the Malet family for nearly 150 years.

In 1986, Jean-Christophe Malet changed the name to Graphisud to enhance the company’s image on a national level. This marked a period of modernization for the printing house, with investments in Roland two-color and Roland four-color machines.

The encounter between Jean-Christophe and the painter Henri Gineste contributed to establishing Graphisud as a specialist in fine art printing.

Henri Gineste was the publisher of a magazine created in 1957 called Vision sur les Arts. He chose Graphisud as the printer. After a few years of collaboration, Henri Gineste unfortunately passed away, and his widow, the painter Chazaly, asked Jean-Christophe and Graphisud to continue Vision sur les Arts and the fine art printing work
